When I met Candy & Mallorie I knew they were going to be awesome. They love to have fun and are total mountain girls.

Candy was raised in the south Louisiana and Mallorie was raised in Salt Lake City. They both fell in love with Colorado and the hiking, biking, camping, and sunshine that goes with it. In their spare time they love spending time with their dogs and playing ice hockey with many of their friends. They met through mutual friends of theirs and have been inseparable since.

I instantly fell in love with their sweet and supportive family. Mallorie told me when we originally met that her and Candy weren’t originally going to have a big ceremony but as soon as their parents found out they were so excited that they sent them a check to help with the wedding, so she said “I guess we’re having a wedding”.

On a beautiful September afternoon in Winter Park at the Sun Spot Lodge Candy & Mallorie had a beautiful commitment ceremony surrounded by all their closest friends and family from all over the country.

Kristen & Micah’s Boulder Engagement Session | Colorado Wedding Photographers | Associate Photographer

Kristen & Micah are getting married next May at the Grant Humphrey’s Mansion in Denver. Our Associate Photographer, Sarah Meneely,  is shooting their wedding and met them for an awesome fall engagement session in Boulder. She had so much fun with them and their 6 month old Bryson. I met Sammy and Kevin at Lair O’ the Bear on a chilly fall afternoon to photograph their engagement session. These two are getting married at Church and then having their reception at Hudson Gardens next August. It was fun to chat with them and get to know them a little bit! Congratulations you two! Leona & Jeff’s Stone Mountain Lodge Wedding | Colorado Wedding Photographers

I knew when I met Jeff & Leona that they were going to be so awesome to work with. They are so sweet, not only to those around them, but to each other, In fact as I was editing the pictures I kept saying “These two are so sweet I can’t even stand it!” J I could easily see why they loved each other so much. Jeff is a helicopter pilot and gives tours of Alaska in the summer while Leona finished up school here in Colorado.  I shouldn’t have been shocked when Jeff jumped into the lake at the beautiful Stone Mountain Lodge in Lyons based on the amount of fun we had during our bride & groom portraits, that and the Gumby cake topper. You have to know that your clients are going to be awesome when they have a Gumby cake topper right?  The night as a whole was filled with so much love from their family and friends that you could just feel it in the air. It is definitely clients like these guys that make my job so worth it. I wish them so much joy and happiness in their lives together, and cannot wait to see their relationship grow in the coming years.  Congratulations you guys!

Renee & Brandon’s Stonebrook Manor Wedding | Colorado Wedding Photographers

Brandon & Renee were married at The Stonebrook Manor in Thornton, CO.  When I met these two it was clear that not only were these two genuinely sweet and awesome together, but they were just fun, down to earth people.  About 20 minutes before their ceremony the rain began falling and they had to use their back up location. It ended up being perfect, after all rain on your wedding day is good luck! We were able to get a few pictures outside after the ceremony in the rain and the celebration after was so much fun. I enjoyed seeing how much each of their families surround them with their love and support. I wish both the very best in your lives together! Congratulations Renee & Brandon!

Deer Creek Valley Ranch – A Love Story in the Making | Colorado Wedding Photographers

As I stepped onto Deer Creek Valley Ranch for its official grand opening celebration I instantly fell in love with this beautiful mountainous venue and its country charm. Located in Bailey, Colorado, the ranch was originally built in 1865 and is rich with history (for more on the history of the ranch click here). Tim Marasciullo purchased the ranch in 2004, a lifelong dream fulfilled.  Tim met Christian two years later in Hawaii and got engaged fourteen days after. When they got home he took her to the highest point on the ranch and re-proposed to her, six months later they were married, and now have two beautiful kids. The first thing out of Christian’s mouth when meeting them was, “This is my gorgeous husband!”; when asked about their story they simply reply, “When you know, you know!” They wanted to open up the ranch as a premier wedding venue to help other couples complete their own fairy tale love story. When meeting these two it’s obvious that their love for each other is unmatched and their passion for sharing the ranch they love so much comes in a close second. If you are looking for a mountain venue with country romance then this is the place for you!  These are just a few of the shots I captured at the grand opening celebration.

Anna & Paul’s Golden Gate Canyon State Park Engagement Session | Destination Wedding Photographer

Anna & Paul are getting married in gorgeous chapel in beautiful Oxford, England next August and I am lucky enough to be flying there for their wedding. Anna is from Colorado, so they wanted their engagement session to reflect that so they can have a little bit of Colorado with them at their wedding. These two people are so fun and sweet. Meghan & Lee’s Spruce Mountain Ranch Wedding | Colorado Wedding Photographers

I met Meghan and Lee about a year ago and it was so lovely to see the vision of their wedding come to fruition. They chose the amazingly beautiful Spruce Mountain Guest Ranch in Larkspur, CO for their backdrop. The staff was amazing and the overall warmth you feel when you walk in the door was like you were coming home. Just an amazing venue.

The day was meant to perfect from beginning to end as it had been raining daily in Colorado for about a week. We got some sprinkles, but the sun came out for moments during the ceremony and the rain stayed away as they danced under the stars.
Every detail was accounted for by Meghan and event planner Sarah Viera from Sarah Viera Events. What a beautiful day! Congratulations to Meghan & Lee Holder!

Pat & Amy’s Benson Statue Park Engagement Photos | Colorado Wedding Photographers

Pat & Amy met me a Benson statue park in Loveland for this awesome engagement session. This park had so many unusual great status, we had so much fun incorporating them into the photos. I cannot wait for their wedding in Glenwood Springs at Hanging Lake in August. Congratulations you two!

Dax – 6 weeks | Denver Newborn Photographer

Little Dax arrived a little earlier than expected. Maggie (Dax’s Mom) is a local actress and closed the last show before her maternity leave just a week before delivering this little guy at 32 weeks. At just 6 weeks this little guy weighed just under the average size of a newborn. I am continually amazed at modern medicine and what they can do with preemies now. This little guys was in the NICU for several weeks before returning home, so Maggie & Marty are getting settled with their new little one.
